Email and Anti-Spam Policy

Stretch Pennies More sends email only when someone has asked for it. Most of what we send are reminder emails that people schedule themselves. This page explains exactly what we send, how we get permission, and how we handle pausing, unsubscribing, bounces and complaints. It applies to all email sent from stretchpenniesmore.com addresses.

How we get permission
- Reminders are user-scheduled. A reminder email is only sent for a reminder the account holder created, with a date and lead time they picked. Reminders are only sent to addresses verified by clicking a link in a verification email.
- Newsletter: confirmed (double) opt-in. Nobody receives the newsletter until they click the link in a confirmation email. Unconfirmed sign-ups get no further email.
- Separate choices. Creating an account doesn't subscribe anyone to the newsletter, and subscribing to the newsletter doesn't create reminders. Consent boxes are never pre-ticked.
- Records. We store when each address was verified or confirmed, the consent wording agreed to, and a log of reminder emails sent.
- No bought or shared lists. We never buy, rent, scrape, import or share email addresses.
What every reminder and newsletter email includes
- An accurate sender name and a subject line that describes the content
- A one-click link to stop that kind of email (pause reminders, or unsubscribe from the newsletter), plus the standard List-Unsubscribe headers email apps use

Pausing and unsubscribing
One-click pauses and unsubscribes take effect immediately. You can also pause reminders or unsubscribe from your account page. Requests by email or through our contact form are handled within 2 business days, well within the 10 business days required by the US CAN-SPAM Act. We never ask you to pay or give more information to stop emails.
Bounces and complaints
Our email is delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service, which notifies us automatically of bounces and spam complaints. Addresses that bounce permanently or mark our email as spam are added to a suppression list immediately and receive no further reminders or newsletters. We monitor bounce and complaint rates and pause sending to investigate if they rise.
Report a problem
If you received email from us that you didn't ask for, someone may have entered your address by mistake. Tell us at hello@stretchpenniesmore.com and we'll remove it and investigate.
